What Is the Gospel?

Simply put the Gospel is good news. That is the original meaning of the Gospel. When we speak of the Gospel of Jesus Christ we are speaking of His Good News for us. And indeed it is Good News. It is the message that God created us in His image and though we, His image bearers have sinned or done what is wrong by Him, He loved us still. He has showed his love for us by sending Jesus into the world to bear the burden of our sins on the Cross so that those who turn from their sins and trust in Him can have all of their sins completely and totally forgiven in Him.
